WHO WE ARE
KINEC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to placing bleeding control kits in classrooms across America. These kits are useful in a wide variety of situations, but their main purpose is to save lives in a school shooting. In these situations, it is not an option to just dial 911. The average amount of time for paramedics to enter the building is over thirty minutes. The leading cause of preventable trauma death (bleeding) can kill within 1-3 minutes if it is uncontrolled.

WE SUPPLY SCHOOLS AND TEACHERS WITH BLEEDING CONTROL KITS, NARCAN, AND ANY OTHER PERTENANT LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT THEY NEED. THIS IS OUR MAIN FOCUS, AND TAKES PRIORITY OVER EVERYTHING ELSE WE DO.

OUR GOAL
"The purpose of KINEC is to give teachers and students best equipment and training to ensure that every student comes home alive. The only way to achieve this is by putting a bleeding control kit in every classroom and having a multitude of individuals on campus who are trained and willing to respond."

HERO SPOTLIGHT
Tate Meyer
During the Oxford school shooting, Tate Meyer sacrificed himself to try to save his classmates on November 30th, 2021. Charging and tackling the shooter gave vital time for his classmates to escape to safety. After being shot multiple times, Tate died in a patrol car rushing to the hospital. He was a talented student athlete, and a hard working respectful young man.

In the recent Nashville school shooting, Rex Engelbert and Michael Collazo bravely entered the Covenant elementary school with one other officer. Quickly clearing the building looking for the threat, these heroes moved through the school looking for the shooter. Running towards the sound of gunfire, the officers found the killer shooting out of a upper story window. Without hesitating, they opened fire, putting an end to the violence.
